One of the best things about this wonderful family of wheels and steel is the people that you meet and the experiences that you share. As a late-commer into this passion I have a lot to learn and have been continuously inspired by the community and their individual willingness to help each other.

This is Timmy McMaster of Hanford Auto and Machine based in Hanford, CA (@yblockguy). I first met Tim when I was on a road with the Rolling Bones crew in 2017. One of the cars (after driving thousands of miles from upstate to Bonneville and then heading south to California) had a mechanical issue that required a difficult to source part. Tim drove from Hanford, CA on very short notice to meet the crew in a small town near El Mirage (if I am remembering correctly) so that the repair could be made in the parking lot. The repair was made, the day was saved and I saw yer another example of how this community is built of many good people with a true heart for continuing the passions of hot-rodders begun so many years ago.
.
Tim runs a machine shop called Hanford Auto and Machine and builds some beautiful motors and cars built to be driven hard and long. Look him up if you want quality, knowledgeable and honest work done. We need more people and values like this in the world today. Visit http://yblockguy.com/.
This photo was made on large format 4x5” film and a camera made some time in the 1930’s. While I do love the cars, motorcycles and speed it really is the people that inspire me to make photographs.
